Keilberg

Along with the Fichtelberg, the Keilberg, at 1,244 m is the highest peak in the Erzgebirge. A hike on the Keilberg is worth it every time, since you have a great view of the health resort of Oberwiesenthal and the magnificent natural landscape of the Erzgebirge.

Together with the ski region around the Fichtelgebirge, the ski region around Keilberg is a “playground” for winter sports enthusiasts, with a significance extending far beyond the region.  With numerous cross-country trails, you can take kilometre-long tours through dreamy winter landscapes on the Czech and Germany sides. With a local ski pass for both ski areas, you can enjoy winter fun on both sides of the border.
